Anthony L. “Tony” Lengerich, 77, of Berne, IN, passed away at 7:28 PM on Tuesday, December 04, 2018 at his residence in Berne, IN. He was born on Tuesday, March 04, 1941, in Decatur, IN. He married Janet E. (Laux) Lengerich on Tuesday, November 29, 1983 in St. Mary’s of the Presentation Catholic Church, Geneva, IN. Tony was a member of the St. Mary’s of the Presentation church, Geneva, IN. He had worked for BF Goodrich in Woodburn, IN. for 42 years. Tony enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his Wife – Janet E. (Laux) Lengerich, Berne, IN, Daughter – Angie (Clint) Medley, TN, Son – Jeff Lengerich, Indianapolis, IN, Daughter – Cindy (John) Drysdale, PA, Daughter – Julie (Craig) Kosac, Vermont, Daughter – Krista (Ed) Nickles, Huntington, IN, Daughter – Cassy (Craig) Liechty, Kentucky, Son – Nate (Kyla) Lengerich, Berne, IN, Sister – Mary Ellen Welling, Bryant, IN, Sister – Ruth Wilder, Decatur, IN, Brother – Ted Lengerich, Berne, IN, Brother – Edward Lengerich, Elkhart, IN, Brother – Michael Lengerich, Decatur, IN, Brother – Joseph Lengerich, Decatur, IN, 19 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Herman Lengerich, Mother – Amelia (Ulman) Lengerich, & Brothers – Bill Lengerich, Carl Lengerich, Daniel Lengerich, and John Lengerich.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Friday, December 07, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a Rosary service at 7:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be at the St. Mary’s of the Presentation Church 5790E – 1100S Geneva at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 08, 2018 with Father David Ruppert officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Presentation Catholic Church Cemetery in Geneva. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
