Jerry A. Bramblett, 83, Marion, passed away in his home at 6:05 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, May 1, 1940, to Laverne and Rosamond (Hullinger) Bramblett. On November 12, 1960, he married Saundra L. Boatwright, and she survives.
Jerry graduated from Van Buren High School, where he was a basketball star. He worked at Delco Remy until his retirement and was a member of Marion Elks Lodge and Country Club, as well as American Legion #368.
Jerry was an avid golfer and loved mowing. He will be remembered as an honest and hard-working man, very giving, and ornery. Anything he did was done to the extreme and done to perfection. He was the children’s Superman.
Survivors include his wife, Saundra L. Bramblett of Marion; daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Nobile of Wabash and Deborah Burns of El Vado, NM; son, Jerry (Maggie) Bramblett of Algonquin, IL; daughter, Kelly (Robert) Smith of Van Buren; sisters, Doris (Morris) Fuguitt of AL, Wanda (Don) Hall of Marion, and Sue (Fred) Stuttle of Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Merle (Shirley) Bramblett.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jerry’s life will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Dan Van Cise officiating.
