Jayla Jones, age 18, of Marion, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne Indiana.
Jayla was born August 1, 2005, in Marion, Indiana. She was a member of Thrive Church in Franklin, Indiana. Jayla loved to sing, dance and play baseball. She played baseball for the UTC Little League in Kokomo when she was younger. She wanted to be a chef and was looking forward to pursuing that dream. Jayla also enjoyed roller blading and crafting.
Jayla is survived by a son; Kham’den Jones; her parents, Nathan and Jayme Jones; brothers, Nathan and Nevan Jones; stepmother, Maxine Rammed; stepfather, Adam Maxfield; maternal grandparents, Mike (Kerry) Peel; paternal grandparents, Denise Cameron and John Jones; maternal great-grandparents, Judy Silva, and Barbara Daniels; paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Whitehurst; uncles, Brant Adams, Jacob Jones, Neil Lynch and Michael Peel.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Jentes officiating.
