Janet K. Dixon

Janet K. Dixon, 75, of Kokomo, IN passed away at 6:25 AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Kokomo. She was born in Peru, on September 1, 1943, the daughter of Leonard and Mae Belle Nelson Venice. Janet married Harry Dixon at the St. Charles Catholic Church on December 19, 1964 and he survives.

Janet was the Financial Controller for Mier Products in Kokomo In. for 27 years. She loved her job, and time with everyone within the company. Her creative abilities in music, cooking, sewing, and genealogy were admired. She loved being a Mom to all her family, and a friend all those who knew her. She will be missed by her faithful companion Desi, her dog that was always by her side.

In addition to Harry, she is survived by daughters Cheryl Bays and her husband Mark of Kokomo, and Jennifer Dronet and her husband Sean of Kokomo; son Gregg Dixon and his wife Maribeth of Kokomo; grandchildren Emily (Matthew) Fackler, Allison (Dakota) Bays, Mitchell Dixon, Kelsey Dixon, Maxwell Dixon, Andrew Dronet, Luka Dronet, Savannah Alley, Riley Dronet, Leighton Alley, Nathalia Dronet , Benjamin Dronet and Nicholas Dronet; great grandchildren Gianna Hoover and Daisy Barton; sisters Mary Jo Tully, Peru, Barbara (Spencer) Hayes, Phoenix, AZ, Judy (Cliff) Owen of Peru, a brother Robert (Becky) Venice of Cottage Grove, OR, and a sister- in- law Karen “Cindy” Yoder of Peru.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leonard and James Venice, a sister-in-law, Nancy Dawalt and brothers-in-law Denny Yoder and Jay Dawalt.

A service celebrating the life of Janet Dixon will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 26,2018 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather from 4:00 -8:00PM Tuesday, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
