Janell LaRae McGibbon, age 39 of Marion, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her mother’s home in Jonesboro.
Janell was born on December 8, 1982 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of Ford McGibbon and Tina (Beyer) Colyer. Janell was a very active member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Marion and enjoyed helping out at her Father’s Market Outreach every Friday. She was a certified chef.
She is survived by her father, Ford (Sarah) McGibbon; her mother, Tina (Russ) Colyer; a son, Michael J. Barnett; maternal grandparents, Don (Sharon) Beyer and Ron Turner; paternal grandparents, David (Debbie) Oxier; a brother, Brandon McGibbon; a sister, Shelly McGibbon; fiance’ Nick Roberts; nieces, Madyson and Averie; and special friend, Brian Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Janice Turner and special friend, Joyce Barnett.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5909 S. Jay Street, Marion, Indiana. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4 in the church prior to the funeral. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Gallaway officiating. Cremation will take place following funeral services.
