Jane M. Blair

Jane M. Blair, 86, of Marion, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family at 2:29 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Jane was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on Friday, May 28, 1937, to Ernest and Mary (Coulter) Hollcraft. She married Robert A. Blair in November of 1956 and he preceded her in death in November of 1987.

Jane graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette in 1955. Jane worked as a secretary for 30 years with VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System, and was a long time Avon representative. Jane was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and in the Marion Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame. Over the years, Jane donated to several charities. She had a giving nature and will be remembered as a sassy, yet friendly and loving woman who will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Belinda (Larry) Musselman of Hartford City; granddaughter, Tabitha (Ethan) Niebauer; brother, John (Judy) Hollcraft of FL; step-son, Willie Clariette Jr. and his children; special friends, Reggie E. Nevels; the Gleason Family, Jan and Brenda Marks and Chik and Wendy Campbell; plus several extended family members and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Hollcraft; husband, Robert A. Blair; step-mother, Arloa Hollcraft; companion of 30 years, Willie C. Clariett; son, James Robert Blair and sister, Cheryl Skinner.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Service to celebrate Jane’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
