Huntington County Man Arrested Neglect of a Dependent and Aggravated Battery

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – On Sunday March 25, 2018 at approximately 4:35 am Huntington Police responded to Cedar Run Apartments in reference to an unresponsive 2 month old infant female. The infant was transported to Parkview Huntington Hospital and later airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center.  

On Tuesday March 27, 2017 at approximately 6:00 am the infant was pronounced dead.

On Wednesday March 28, 2018 an autopsy was completed.  The cause of death was Blunt Force Trauma with the manner of death listed as Homicide.  Huntington Police Detectives later interviewed Kevin N. Tucker (Photograph attached).  Upon the completion of the interview Mr. Tucker was transported to the Huntington County Jail and is being held on the following preliminary charges:

Count 1: Neglect Of A Dependent Resulting In Death Level 1 Felony

Count 2: Aggravated Battery Resulting In Death Level 1 Felony

The investigation is ongoing agencies involved are the Huntington Police Department,Huntington County Prosecutors Office, Indiana State Police, and Allen County Coroner’s Office.
