Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Thursday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Dianna Teusch officiating.

Jim was born on August 20, 1947 in Huntington, the son of Evart and Betty (Burley) Walker. He married Susan Bear on March 29, 1969 in Huntington. He was a painter at Wayne Metal in Markle for 33 years and enjoyed bike rides and drag racing. He loved watching Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers football.
Surviving in Huntington are his wife of 49 years, Susan Walker, a son, James Walker Jr., a daughter, Jennifer Simon, and brothers Charles (Glenna) Honey and June (Janet) Walker. Also surviving are a brother, Steven (Debbie) Honey of Carson City, Nevada, a sister, Nora (Frank) Smith of Missouri, and seven grandchildren. His parents precede him in death.
