Jack E. Bolden

Jack E. Bolden, 89, Marion, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on April 20, 1932, to Rollie and Inez Bolden. On January 29, 1966, he married the love of his life, Barbara Sue Aldred, who survives.

Jack graduated from Marion High School in 1950 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a businessman in Grant County, owning two Texaco service stations in south Marion, a hardware store, and a grocery/convenience store. He also worked at the VA Hospital as a nursing assistant for several years. Jack was a member of South Marion Businessman Association, as well as Liberty Baptist Church.

Jack was an avid golfer and league bowler, and he attended and supported Marion Giants basketball. He will be remembered as a good Christian man, who loved the Lord and loved studying scriptures. He was a generous and devoted man who loved his family and others as Jesus would.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Bolden; sons, Mark Bolden and Michael Bolden; step-son, Terry Bolden; and grandchildren, Jonathan Bolden, Christian Bolden, Samone Bolden, and Stephen Bolden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rollie Bolden, Jr., Rex Bolden, and Larry Bolden; and sister, Vi Evans.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jack’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Pastor Terry Bishir and Pastor Bruce Koontz will be officiating with burial taking place at Estates of Serenity.
