Sandra "Susie" Clark

Sandra “Susie” Clark, 85, of Marion, went to be with the Lord at 9:20 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Grant County, Indiana, on September 6, 1936, to Loren and Beryl (Pearson) Sinclair. On July 3, 1958, she married the love of her life, Jackie “Jack” Ray, and he survives.

Susie graduated from Van Buren High School in 1954 and attended Tucker Career Center, where she received her nursing degree. She was an LPN at Warren Methodist Home and had previously worked at RCA. She was a member of Hanfield United Methodist Church.

Susie was in the Roving Sams Camping Club with her husband for several years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, singing, and playing her guitar. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her delicious meatballs, cakes, and brownies. Susie loved baking for her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Jackie “Jack” Ray Clark of Marion; son, Aaron (Julie) Clark of MO; daughter, Julie (Mark) Towery of Van Buren; granddaughters, Lauren (Jackson) Hill and Macayla (Ray) Pulliam; grandsons, Jack Elwood (Jada) Clark, II, Clark (Erin Koughn) Chandler, and Clayton Towery; nine great-grandchildren; brother, David (Phyllis) Sinclair; sisters, Esther Thomas and Nancy (Jerry) Weaver; special nieces, Amy (Jose) Perez and Liz (Chris) Dodson; additional nieces and nephews; and several friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Caleb Clark; and brothers, Bobbie (Lorraine) Sinclair and Allen (Helen) Sinclair.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Susie’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastors Curtis Banker and Tim Helm will be officiating with burial taking place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
