Indiana State Police to Conduct Saturation Patrols Friday and Saturday Night

(Fort Wayne, IN)-The Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne will be conducting saturation patrols during the evening and night hours on Friday December 1, 2017 and SaturdayDecember 2, 2017 as part of Operation Pull Over.  Troopers throughout the 11 county coverage area will be looking for impaired motorists and dangerous drivers as well as enforcing the use of seatbelts.

Please observe the following tips:

•             Use a designated driver.

•             Don’t get behind the wheel if you have been drinking.  Call a taxi or Uber.

•             If you are hosting a party have non-alcoholic drinks available.

•             Don’t let friends drive drunk.  Offer them a ride with a sober driver or have   them spend the night.

The public is reminded that if they see a possibly impaired driver to call the nearest State Police post or 911.  They should be prepared to give a description of the vehicle, location, and direction of travel.

The Indiana State Police is committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols to apprehend impaired drivers and deter others from drinking and driving.
