Grow Wabash County accepting applications for RLF loan program

Wabash County, IN (March 31, 2020) – Applications are now open for Grow Wabash County’s
Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program.
In an effort to support Wabash County’s business community as it experiences unexpected
closures and decreased revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Grow Wabash County will be
offering loans to help small businesses with necessary business expenses that they may be
facing as a result of the ongoing crisis.
“This is an unprecedented situation for our businesses and the community at large,” Keith
Gillenwater, president and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “Many of our local businesses
rely heavily on those in-person transactions at their stores that have been discouraged due to
COVID-19, to keep going. We hope these loans will help our local business bridge the gap
between this difficult time and when operations eventually return to normal.”
There will be two types of loans made available for businesses: Rapid Response Loans and
traditional RLF loans. The Rapid Response Loans will be in partnership with the City of Wabash
for loans of up to $7,500. Requests for loans greater than $7,500 will still be accepted through
our traditional Revolving Loan Fund program which was founded in the early 2000’s with
assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development program
but will be subject to additional terms and conditions.
The funds from these loans may be used for a variety of business expenditures such as
working capital, payroll expenses, marketing materials or other additional expenditures that
arose due to COVID-19.
Applicants looking to receive funding must fill out the preliminary application on the Grow
Wabash County website as well as sign and complete two forms that confirm their business’
