Fulton County Top 10 Fugitive Arrested

Talma – Today at approximately 11:23 a.m., one of Fulton County Crime Stoppers Top 10 fugitives has been arrested. Officers from the Indiana State Police, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department captured Troy Williams Jr, 34, Rochester, IN. Williams is incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face eight criminal charges alleged in five separate Fulton County arrest warrants. He also faces additional charges for possession of methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers received a citizen’s tip that Williams was possibly at a residence on State Road 25 near the Fulton County town of Talma. When officers arrived, they received information that Williams had fled the residence into a wooded area south of the home. Officers immediately set up a perimeter. Indiana Conservation Officer John Cook and his police dog, T.K., entered the woods and started to track Williams. A short time later, Williams was spotted by Senior Trooper Mike Meiser walking south in the woods. When Williams spotted Trooper Meiser he turned and ran north. He was then captured by the K-9 Team of Officer Cook and police dog T.K.

Williams had five separate Fulton County warrants for his arrest. The criminal charges from the warrants were for possession of methamphetamine, criminal confinement, domestic battery, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement, possession of a syringe, and two counts for possession of marijuana. When Williams was arrested, today, he allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
