Frederick E. Fouce, Jr.

Frederick E. Fouce, Jr., 94, Marion, passed away at 2:38 pm on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, May 17, 1929, to Frederick D., Sr., and Irene (Wallace) Fouce. He was married to Betty Fouce, who preceded him in death.  

Frederick attended Marion High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked in Administration for 32 years at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System. He was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church and the Elks Club, as well as a member and commander at the American Legion Post 166.  

Survivors include his children, Frederick L. (Andrea) Fouce of Fayetteville, GA, Debbie Jackson of Abilene, TX, Diane (Ashley) Smith of IN, Shannon Fouce of Marion, Elizabeth A. Hill of St. Troy, Rhonda Fouce of Marion, Mike Jackson of Marion, Donald Fouce of Marion, and Sandy Jones of VA; and sisters, Sara Fouce of Marion and Kathern White Fouce.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sons, Teddy Fouce, Ricky Fouce, and Robert Thompson; and brothers, Robert Fouce and Lou Fouce.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Greater Second Baptist Church, 705 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Frederick’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. Benny L. Powell, Jr., and Rev. Stanford Bolden officiating.  Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
