Francis Robert Spurgeon, 70, of Peru passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana after a 4 month long battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
Francis Spurgeon was born on March 28th, 1953 to George and Charlene Spurgeon. He married Sheree Lynn Dockter June 29th, 1973 in Peru, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Sheree; a son Cameron and his wife Sarah with their three children, Beckett, Emmeline, and Graham; a son, Travis and his wife Ashley with their three children, Eli, Carter, and Liam; one daughter, Tiffany and her husband Johnny Barr, his sister Carol and her husband Warren Williamson; a nephew Robert and his wife Nicole and son Sam; a nephew, Jason and his wife Leah and daughter Eden.
Francis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his wife, three children, and six grandchildren. He was a loving brother and uncle to his sister and two nephews. After an enlistment in the US Army he was a lifelong electrician with many skills. He was the patriarch that held the family together and was always there when you needed him with no questions asked. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was a member of the McGrawsville Community Church and loved worshipping the Lord.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at McGrawsville Community Church, 9377 South 300 East, Amboy, Indiana. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
