Donna Jean York, 94, of Peru, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at The Waters of Peru.
She was born on August 28, 1929 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Cesil and Dorothy Henry. She married Charles (Richard) York in March 1948. They had 5 children.
She is survived by Mike (Tammy) York, of Placeville, California, Pat (Sandy) York, of Rochester, Indiana, Deborah (Bruce) Murphy of Denver, Indiana, Rick (Linda) York, of Denver, Indiana. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Chuck York, and one grandson, William York.
Donna loved working in her flower gardens, cooking, and taking care of others. She retired from Wabash Valley Bank as a trust officer. She was a member of the Peru Grace Brethren Church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. There will also be one hour of visitation, from 10:00am-11:00am, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 with the funeral service begining at 11:00am with Pastor Dave Jodry officiating. Burial will take place at Rankin Cemetery in Peru.
