Bobby Dean Haynes Jr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bobby Dean Haynes Jr., who went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 67. He was surrounded by his loved ones at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

Bobby was born on Saturday, August 4, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Bobby Dean Haynes Sr. and Betty T. (Farley) Haynes. He grew up in Marion, Indiana, and attended Marion High School. He went on to work at Thompson Consumer Electronics (RCA) for many years. Bobby’s passion for his family was beyond measure and he loved spending time with friends. Bobby was known for his caring heart and was loved and respected by all. Bobby made an impact on everyone he met and will be greatly missed.

Bobby was a former member of the Marion Moose Lodge and was a current member of the Gas City Moose Lodge 1778 for 30 years.  He also planted a garden every summer to grow fresh vegetables. Bobby was an excellent cook and loved to attend festivals.  He also went to auctions and liked to cruise.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Stasha Lou Haynes (Todd) of Marion; three grandchildren, Aaliyah Nichole Haynes, Cain Isaiah Richardson, and Caleb Isaac Richardson; his parents Bobby Dean Haynes Sr. and Betty T. (Farley) Haynes; his two sisters, Suzanne (Roy) McKinney and Danell (Phil) Crain; and nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Dean Haynes III; and two brothers, Ronnie Ray Haynes and Gary Wayne Haynes.

Services in memory of Bobby Dean Haynes Jr. have been entrusted to Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Road, Marion, Indiana and will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Austin Weaver officiating. 

Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.  A Celebration of Life Dinner will follow at the West Eighth Street Wesleyan Church, 2244 W. 8th Street, Marion, Indiana.
