Floyd Rondel Estes

Our beloved husband and father, Floyd Rondel Estes, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 15, 2024.  He was born on January 28, 1940, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to Charles and Bertha Estes.  He married the love of his life, Virginia Wampner, on November 21, 1959, and they shared 64 years together.  Floyd retired from Chrysler after 31 years.

Dad was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an outdoor enthusiast who loved hunting, fishing, and golfing.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, Virginia, and children, Kenneth (Mary Ann) Estes, Kathern (Estes) Faulstich, Scott (Karen) Estes, and Karen Estes (Greg) Eller.  He was also loved by many grandchildren, Christopher (Laura) McQuiston, Brandon (Tiffany) Eller, Andrew (Arie) Seagrave, Ron Estes, Jennifer Estes, Holly (Brad) Hunter, Tyler (Kiersten) Eller, Hunter Eller, Arin Hill, BreAnna Hill, Kale (Amber) Bostic, and Jody (Dave) Mitchell, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roy Estes; grandson, Kenneth Allen Estes; brother, Aubrey Estes; and sisters, Lois Rich, Jewel Novinger, and Virginia Pyle.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Floyd’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Scott Novinger officiating.  Burial will take place at Thrailkill Cemetery.
