Elisabetta “Lisa” Bove, Marion, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
Lisa was born on September 10, 1946, in Roccasecca, Italy, to Carmela and Giuseppe Reca. In 1969, Lisa met the love of her life, J.B. Bove, and their love story blossomed into marriage soon after. Together, they embarked on a journey in Marion, Indiana, where they built a beautiful life and raised a family of four children: Riva, Carmino, Sonia, and Nadia.
Lisa found immense fulfillment in her roles as a devoted wife and mother, but her true joy in life came from being a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juistino Bove; parents, Carmela and Giuseppe Reca; stepmother, Columba Reca, and brother, Carlo Reca, as well as her twin sister, Maria Reca.
She is survived by her son, Carmino Bove (Kathy Niebauer) of Marion; daughters, Riva Bove (Beau Jenks) of Marion, Sonia Gottfried (Andy Gottfried) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Nadia Sharp (Ken Sharp) of Noblesville. Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Anelese Whitton, Dante Whitton, Giuseppe Gottfried, Vincenzo Gottfried, Rocco Gottfried, Mikaleen Jenks, and Eloisa Sharp. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Marco Reca, Carmela Reca, and Iole Reca.
Lisa’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace; her memory forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation for Lisa will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 at St. Paul Catholic Church 1031 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN.
A vigil service will be held 12:30 pm during the visitation.
The funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church, where Father Ted Rothrock will officiate. Following the funeral service, Lisa will be laid to rest in the Grant Memorial Park mausoleum.
A reception will be held in honor of Lisa following the burial service.
