Dusty Strickler, 59, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 2:05 am, Monday, December 25, 2023, at his home. He was born on May 27, 1964, in Wabash, to Larry Dean and Melody (Warren) Strickler.
Dusty attended Wabash High School and was a US Army veteran. He married Tamara Haecker at their home on December 27, 2018. He was an auto mechanic and also worked at Auto Zone in Wabash and Dalton Foundry in Warsaw for several years. Dusty enjoyed cars especially muscle cars. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed music especially AC/DC. He also loved the outdoors and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara Strickler of Wabash; four children, Dustin Schipper of Maryville, Tennessee, Rocky Strickler of Wabash, Ryan (Dory) Strickler of LaFontaine, Indiana, and Heather (TJ) Imel of Indianapolis, Indiana, 8 grandchildren; mother, Melody (Warren) Strickler of Wabash; brothers and sister, David (Tonya) Strickler, and Denise (Bob) Votaw, both of Wabash, Kevin (Diane) Strickler of Lagro, Indiana, and Robert (Heather) Strickler of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dean Strickler, and his brother Larry James Strickler.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 29, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
