Danny E. Drabenstot, 59, Marion, passed away at 9:46 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Marion on September 4, 1958, and was the son of Donald Drabenstot and Patricia Jo (Murphy) Drabenstot O’Connell.
A lifelong resident of Grant County, Danny was a self-employed tree trimmer. He was a real outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. It was just natural for him to choose the profession of trimming trees because of his love for the outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia O’Connell, Marion; children, April M. (Tom) Weaver, Marion, Kayla Jo Drabenstot, Marion, Joshua (Bernie) Drabenstot, Florida, and Waylon Drabenstot, Florida; 9 grandchildren; special friend, Randy Brown; aunt, Cecile Coffelt; and brother, David (Peggy) Drabenstot, Wagram, North Carolina.
His father, Donald, and his grandparents, Virgil and Elizabeth Murphy, preceded him in death.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Danny’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
