Cleo Leon Shively

Cleo Leon Shively, 80, Marion, passed away in his home at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He was born in Waupecong on June 24, 1937, and was the grandson of Pearl and Nora (Mygrant) Shively and the son of Clifford and Dorothy (Swisher) Shively.

Cleo attended Clay Township High School and, on February 18, 1956, married the love of his life, Betty Gibson. They just celebrated 62 years of marriage and were blessed with a son and three daughters. Cleo retired from Fisher Body after 32 years as a press operator. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, hunting for arrowheads, and especially watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Karen McMurray, Marion, Linda (Randy) Webster, Fairmount, and Tracie (Gary) Kelley, Amboy; 13 grandchildren, Autumn (TJ) Cussen, Adam (Kylee) McMurray, Amber (Dan) Voudrie, Amy (Tim) Young, Josh (Stephanie) Webster, Sara (Jeff) Jessup, Bobby Allen, Ashley Shively, Kyle Shively, Jessica Shively, Tyler (Andrea) Shively, Taylor Kelley, and Daisy Kelley; and 26 great-grandchildren with twins on the way.

Also preceding him in death were his son, Bobby Shively, and great-granddaughter, Sondra.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. with Cleo’s funeral service beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN. Jeremy Moore will be officiating.
