Charles R. Warran, 85, Gas City, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, in Gas City. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on August 24, 1935, to Charles and Cleoda (Gray) Warran. In 2005, he married Jackie Haworth in Gas City.
He was a member of the Gas City Moose. He graduated from Marion High School. He joined and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Foster Forbes after 21 years. Chuck enjoyed fishing, Euchre, bowling, and shuffle board, as well as, cookouts with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Warran of Gas City; daughter, Ann (Tom) Moreland of Florida; son, Rick (Mariellen) Warran of Gas City; daughter, Sherry (Scott) Lee of North Carolina; daughter, Tammy (Brian ) Orcutt of Ohio; step-daughter, Stephanie Peters of Marion; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna McColley of Gas City; and brother, Hugh Warran of Gas City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Fredrick and Cleoda Warran; wife, Mary Margaret Warran; and sister, Sue Fihe.
The family will receive visitors from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service-Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, Indiana.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Chuck’s life will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating.
