Cathy L. Lambert, 74, of Marion, passed away at 2:14 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, November 23, 1949, to Russell and Martha (Owings) Underwood. On July 25, 1966, she married Cecil Jerry Lambert and he preceded her in death.
Cathy attended Oak Hill High School. After high school, she managed Handy Andy and Village Pantry. In later years, she worked as a medical assistant and home health care. Cathy was involved with CASA of Grant County. She loved playing BINGO and doing crafts of various kinds. She was an avid deer hunter. She loved camping and she and her family camped in Canada for many years. She sold Home Interior and was a great decorator of her own home. She loved to talk and didn’t know a stranger. She was known as, “Chatty Cathy”.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Michele (Glen) Lake of Marion; son, Jimmy (Melissa Brannen) Lambert of Marion; grandson, Jarrod (Tiffany Nicholas) Hisey of Flora; granddaughters, Josie (William McKay) Lambert of Kokomo, Emma Lambert of Kokomo; great-grandsons, Jaxon Hisey-Lake, Landon Hisey-Lake; great-granddaughter, Allison Hisey-Lake; many nieces and nephews; sister, Robin (Daryl) Yeakle of Marion; special niece, Teresa Willmann; special boys, Rodney Wimmer, Glenn Salyer and Charlie Draper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell M. and Martha L. Underwood; husband, Cecil Jerry Lambert; sisters, Stephanie Waggoner, Nancy Fuller; brother, Michael Underwood; grandson, Brandon Lambert.
At Cathy’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
