Carolyn Ann Scheidt, 77, died Sunday morning, November 18, 2018, in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. She was born in Upland, the daughter of the late George and Alice Elizabeth (Poole) Miller.
She was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson Township High School.
Carolyn married Leonard Dale Scheidt on June 11, 1961, in Upland.
Mrs. Scheidt was employed as a Supervisor with Two-Sons Tool, Matthews, for 20 years before her retirement. She was considered the neighborhood mom and the glue that held things together. She enjoyed collecting ceramic dolls & clowns and jewelry. She especially loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Leonard Dale Scheidt; Children: Leonard Dale “L.D.” Scheidt II (fiancé Loree Hirst), Upland; and Lucinda Linder, Van Buren; a brother: Perry (Dixie) Miller, Hartford City; grandchildren: Anthony (Stacey) Scheidt, TN; Jakob Scheidt, Upland; Echo Scheidt, Marion; and Tawni Planalp, Van Buren; great grandchildren, Breydon and Alexis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Kay Scheidt; brothers, Bud Miller, Ronald Miller, Donald Miller, and John Miller; and a sister, Linda Ervin.
Arrangements were entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home, with Rev. Al Soultz officiating.
