Bradley (Brad) Ludlow, 54, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at 8:25 a.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice, Fort Wayne, IN.
Brad was born on September 22, 1962, in Monroe, MI, to George and Joyce (Haughawout) Ludlow. They survive and reside in Gas City, IN. Brad married Lara Walther on November 20, 1999, in Decatur, IN. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Brad graduated from Mississinewa High School, Gas City, IN, in 1980. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University and his Masters at Indiana University. Brad had worked for the HCCSC (Huntington County Community School Corporation) as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Crestview Middle School, Huntington, IN. He had also worked at Peru Community Schools, Randolph Eastern School Corp., Adams Central Community Schools, Fayette County School Corp, and Ponca City Public Schools. Brad enjoyed golfing whenever possible and had his own league called the “Old Dudes Golf Club”.
Along with his parents and wife, Lara, he is survived by his children, Taylor, 26, Kara, 22, Aaron, 20, and Claire, 15. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Ludlow, Summitville, IN; and sister, Karen (Jay) Worrell, Gas City, IN.
Brad was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ludlow.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at Crestview Middle School, 1151W – 500N, Huntington, IN, with Pastor Jerry Jones officiating. A reception will follow after the celebration.
To honor Mr. Ludlow’s wishes he has asked for no flowers and requested that memorials be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
A private burial will be at a later date.
