Bonnie J. Neal, 76, Marion, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on June 17, 1947, to Robert and Martha (Bratton) Prather. She married Jerry D. Neal, the love of her life and they spent several wonderful years together until his passing.
She attended Eastview Wesleyan Church. Bonnie loved being involved in Help the Hopeful. She worked at a car lot and flea markets and alongside her husband at Campus Pizza. She loved crafting, especially making wreaths and baskets. Bonnie had several jobs throughout her life, but most importantly, she loved taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister; a caring, kind woman who loved her family and would help them anyway she could. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Lorrie) Neal Jr., Kellie Huffman, Tammy (Jay) Verdin, and Jeff (Amanda) Clymer; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Prather, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry D. Neal; daughter, Shelly Straw; grandson, Robert “Bobbie” Pauley.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Noah Farmer officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
