Belinda “Benny” M. Snyder, 71, LaFontaine, passed away in her home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, April 27, 1952, to Jack Lee and Hope Marie (Alleman) Downam. On September 19, 1970, she married Stephen Lee Snyder, and he preceded her in death in 2017.
Benny graduated from Marion High School in 1970. She worked at Regions Bank for 35 years, where she was a Commercial Banking Assistant.
Benny loved her flowers, and she had created floral bouquets for all occasions. She especially loved her grandbabies and her kitty, Pooky-Doo.
Survivors include her daughters, April (Ryan) Branham of LaFontaine and Amber (Chad) Guyer of Wabash; grandsons, Luke (Sophia) Guyer and Jack (Breklynn) Guyer; granddaughter, Abigail Guyer; great-granddaughters, Roselynn Guyer and Josephine Guyer; great-grandson, Jack Guyer, Jr.; and brothers, Thomas (Mary Ann) Downam, Michael (Pam) Downam, and Jack (Shawnee) Downam.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
On Friday, March 15, 2024, a funeral service to celebrate Benny’s life will take place at North Chapel at 10:00 am. Bruce Everett will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
