Barbara J. Logan, 86, Marion, passed away at 11:15 pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, March 7, 1937, to William Steve Williams and Emma (Matthews) Coats.
Barbara attended Marion Community Schools and worked in Production for 21 years at RCA. She loved her church, crocheting, working puzzles, and bluegrass music.
Survivors include her sons, James DeLaPorte of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Joe (Pam) DeLaPorte of Gas City, and John A. DeLaPorte of Marion; daughter, Laura (Phil) Cox of Marion; grandchildren, April Layman, Aaron DeLaPorte, Autumn DeLaPorte, Abbie (Sean) Davis, Nathan DeLaPorte, Amber Wilson, Asia Cox, Aubrey Perkins, Christy Devine, Alexis DeLaPorte, Eva (Patrick) Welch, Elizabeth DeLaPorte, and Jonathan DeLaPorte; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Cheryl (Dale) Twiford of Elwood; brother, Harold Williams; friend of 50 years, Judy Clark of Gas City; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Lowell R. Logan; parents; son, Jeff DeLaPorte; brothers, Steve and Jack; and sister, Rosa Lee.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Barbara’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Bishop Sorenson officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
