KOKOMO – Because of significant tornado damage to the Ivy Tech Community College facilities in the Inventrek building at 700 E. Firmin St., the College has relocated the Health Sciences and Nursing programs to its Morgan Street and Touby Pike buildings. Thanks to significant effort by Ivy Tech faculty and staff, classes will meet in their new locations starting on Monday. Classrooms, computer labs, and teaching labs for the nursing, surgical technology, dental assisting, medical assisting, and EMT and paramedic programs, along with offices for 16 faculty members, have been moved to the main building and Student Life Building at 1815 E. Morgan St., the Dupont Building at 1901 E. Morgan St., and the Corporate College Building at 1701 Touby Pike. About 100 class sections that met in the Inventrek building were impacted by the tornado and other classroom locations may move as a result of the required reorganization.

Students are being advised to check email and the Ivy Tech Campus Connect and Blackboard systems for specific information from their faculty members about their classes. Ivy Tech staff members will be available to answer student questions in the main lobby at 1815 E. Morgan St. on Monday.
