Alan W. Overdorff, age 92, of Huntington, IN, and formerly of Howell, MI, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at 8:00 am at his home. He worked as an industrial engineer at International Paper in Howell, MI. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gem & Mineral Club, and Civil War Roundtable. He enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling.
Alan was born May 11, 1924, in Brush Valley Township, PA, the son of A. Ward and Margaret (Barkley) Overdorff. On June 7, 1947, he married his beloved wife of 69 years Naomi Webb in Jackson, MI, and she survives in Huntington. Also surviving are 3 daughters M. Judith (John) Bishop of Richland, MI, M. Kay (John) Houston of Indianapolis, IN, and Jean (Mark) Gehrke of Huntington, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Paul Overdorff.
