Virginia Broom, 87 Huntington, IN, passed away on July 13, 2017 at Oakbrook Village, Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Broom was born May 20, 1930, in Fredona, KS, to Darrell and Rita Ramsey Thornton. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Broom married Robert Broom on May 6, 1950, in North Webster, IN. He preceded her in death June 22, 2003.
Mrs. Broom was a homemaker. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Surviving are one daughter, Paula Lake, Huntington, IN; one son, Robert P. (Deb) Broom, New Haven, IN; 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters; one sister, Betty Dennie, Naples, FL.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Murray and two sisters, Lorraine Humbarger and Katheryn Funk.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM (noon) Friday July 21, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Huntington, IN.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
