There Oughta Be a Law book

It was March 17, 2014 the morning that I collected the courage to begin writing for others to read. I didn’t want to “try”. It was a commitment. There was no real plan and no understanding of the process or computer skills necessary. It was simply a decision to offer my thoughts with anyone who might want to share. Fortunately comments, encouragement and suggestions have come from readers in many places. Eventually the format was limited to 500 words after no predictable previous length. This was the first.

Think About it. There Oughta Be a Law.  It has been repeatedly noted that the Congress of the United States has passed pitifully few laws in this session.  How very sad that such an august body of would-be talented people was so frustrated by bickering that they just couldn’t get new legislation through.

How sad?  How great!  It is precisely the endless series of misguided ideas foisted off on a seemingly helpless populous that has created the tangled web in which we find ourselves. For many years I shuddered while enjoying the great cartoon series. Enjoy.

It is misguided law that has created the controversies over Marriage, Immigration, Drugs, Welfare, Health Care,  Weather Change, Election Scandal, etc., ad infinitum. If you want to create your own law (for better or for worse) in the 13th Senate District of California, just fill in the blanks.    In the near future I’ll be expressing my perhaps unconventional views on some of these subjects with the accent on the laws at the basis.  You may not agree, whether you are conservative or liberal, like big government or small.  All I ask is that you stop before you say There Oughta Be a Law. Think About It.
