Thelma L. Mitchener age 90 died Sunday morning November 27, 2016 at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis, Indiana
Thelma worked as a receptionist for 25 years at Delta Electric in Marion, Indiana and later worked for Ross Supply 15 years before retiring.
She was born September 7, 1926 in Washington, Indiana to the late Arthur and Ethel (Morgan) Harner. She graduated from Swayzee High School class of 1944 and then married James “Gib” Mitchener April 5, 1947 he preceded her in death December 4, 2012.
She enjoyed bowling, being with her family, singing and music of all kinds. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Washington, Indiana and attended the Fowlerton United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter; Janet (Harold) Dailey of Fowlerton, IN and a son; Greg (Johanna) Mitchener of Fairmount, IN Brother; Donald (Phyllis) Harner, Swayzee, IN
Grandchildren; Laurie Sands, Fowlerton, IN Kristen Mitchener, Doweltown, TN Colin Mitchener, Fairmount, IN Austin Sands and Lance Sands both of Marion, IN
She was preceded in death by her sister Pauline McCullough.
Funeral services for Thelma will be 10:00 AM Friday December 2, 2016 at Fairmount Chapel Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery Fairmount, IN Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday December 1, 2016 4-8 PM
