Terry Rumple, 72, Gas City, died at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, in his home. He was born in Marion, IN, to the late Vern R. and Bernice (Harris) Rumple. He married Peggy S. Jeffries on August 20, 1977, and she survives.

Terry was a 1961 graduate of Mississinewa High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1961-1964. Terry was a life member of First Baptist Church in Gas City. He was also a member of UAW 662, American Legion Post 10, Gas City Historical Society, and Moose Lodge 1778. Terry loved spending time outdoors golfing, hunting, and fishing on Chapman Lake. When he was able, Terry also took great pride mowing his lawn. He also enjoyed Oil Painting, working Crossword puzzles, volunteering through his church, watching old country westerns, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Terry Rumple, Jr., Converse, Richard (Heather) Rumple, Jonesboro, Brandi (George) Perry, Gas City; sisters, Rhea (John) Dodson, Gas City, Lana (David) Pattison, Gas City, Delene “Dee” Henson, Gas City; grandchildren, Jordan (Aaron) Capps, Shelby Rumple; great-grandson, Avery Capps; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and beloved dogs, Lucy and Better.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife’s parents, Robert (Rebecca) Jeffries; and brothers-in-law, Doug Henson and Dave Jeffries.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Fritchman officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.
