Teressa “Terri” Z. Kirk, 73, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at her Fairmount, Indiana residence after a battle with cancer.
Terri was born in Salida, Colorado on December 6, 1943, daughter of the late Amos and Zeoloma Isenhart Fisher. She attended school in Jonesboro and Fairmount. Terri married James D, Kirk on December 19, 1987. Jim survives in Fairmount. Terri and Jim were retired from farming and was a local restaurant business owner for over 40 years where she used her talent and love of cooking and baking. Terry loved her farm animals and camping. She was a member of the Fairmount American Legion Post 313, Center Christian Church where she enjoyed taking part in the Willing Workers ladies group, and Job’s Daughters
Also surviving are daughters; Regina Kendall, Ft. Wayne, IN., Michelle Kendall, Fairmount, IN and Larraine (Brian) Stambaugh, Russiaville, IN, Son; Terry (Lynnette) Clements, Conway, Ark, sister, Treba Fisher, San Luis Obispo, CA and brother, Tim Fisher, Greentown, IN, 20 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren. 1 great-great-grandson, her beloved rescue companion, Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Jo Kendall in 2013, parents, and grandparents Pearl and Robert Shuman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN Graveside service and burial will be at Park Cemetery with Dr. Thomas Jones officiating on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10 AM. Friends may gather at Center Christian Church, 3600 W. 900 S. Fairmount, IN following the graveside service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Center Christian Church or Cancer Services of Grant County in care of the funeral home.
