Robert “Bob” K. Porter, 54, Marion, died in his home at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. He was born in Marion, IN, to the late Chester and Betty (Axton) Porter.
Bob was employed with American Woodmark and served in the National Guard from 1983-1989. He was an avid NASCAR fan and collected KISS memorabilia.
Loved ones Bob leaves behind are his siblings, Clessie Hayes, Marion, Al Porter, Marion, Dave Porter, Greenwood, Bernice (Jerry) Adkins, Huntington, Rick Porter, Gas City, Debbie Kennedy, Marion, Bill Porter, Marion, and Paul “Butch” (Laura) Porter, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Services for Bob will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
