In loving remembrance of Phyllis J. Gehring, a graveside Memorial Service of her life will be celebrated in the spring with her cherished family and loved ones. Phyllis, 84 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the quite comforts of her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born January 23, 1932 in South Bend, IN to Gertrude Zartman and Howard White. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1950. For over 59 years she was married to her best friend and loving husband Kenneth E. Gehring. Married in Denver, IN September 22, 1951. Kenneth preceded her in death March 23, 2011. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Worked at Rinks and Clarks as an office bookkeeper. Left behind to celebrate her life are her five daughters and their families. Christine Bowyer and husband Steve of Peru, IN Marietta Gay and husband Tom of Cleburne TX, Debra Giver and husband Bernard of Peru, IN Virginia (Ginny) and husband Michael of Logansport, IN Diana Gehring of Marquette, MI. Grandchildren: Marissa and Robert Doyle, Christopher Bowyer, Shannon Corbin, Casey and Courtney Giver, Molly Graybeal and Joseph Graybeal. Great-grandchildren: Alissa Estep, Robert Doyle III and Carolyn Doyle, Autumn Menen, Perry Menen and Hadley Corbin. Great-great grandchildren: Dylan Graybeal- Pomasl and Avery Menen. She has a sister surviving, Maridean and Jim Barnett and a sister–in-law Margaret. Preceded in death, cherished siblings; Freida Roe, Anna Personette, Lulubell Koenig, Virgil White and Gerald White. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
