Paul T. Botts, 81, Gas City, went to be with the Lord at 8:12 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016, in his home. He was born in Oneida, Tennessee, to the late Lemuel Lewis and Nola (Duncan) Botts. He married Myrna Hall, and she preceded him in death.

Paul worked for Chrysler for 38 years. Music was his life, and he volunteered his time playing music at nursing homes and churches. Paul also enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of Jalapa Road Church and attended Community Baptist Church in Red Key.

He is survived by his daughters, Carol Sue (Nick) Simos, Red Key, Debra (Darrell) Day, Oneida, Tennessee, and Barbara L. (Edwin) Riley, Gas City; 10 step-children; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Simos, Joshua (Toni) Simos, Justin (Amber) Simos, Nickie (Rob) Songer, Christina Norris, Melanie (Charlie) Copeland, Scott Botts, Jessica (Julius) Jefferies, Matthew Doyle, Melinda Doyle, Norma Jean Riley, Emily Riley, and Paul Riley; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis (Larrie) Duncan and Gayles (Leisa) Duncan; sister, Sheila (Bob) Liberto; half-brother, Marion Botts; half-sister, Janice Botts; and special friend, Bill Lane.

Also preceding Paul in death were his daughter, Paula (Nick) Norris; brothers, Willard Duncan and James Botts; first wife, Maxine Botts; and second wife, Betty Susan Botts.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services for Paul will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Red Key Community Baptist Church with Pastors Marcus Combs and Justin Simos officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Red Key.
