Maxine L. Breedlove, 102, Marion, died at 6:20 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center. She was born in Marion to Miles and Lena (Hollowell) Rinehart and was a lifelong resident of Marion except for 26 years in Florida. Maxine married Kenneth Breedlove on June 11, 1932, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2012.

Maxine was a homemaker who devoted her life to serving her family and others. She was a member of Christland UMC and the Senior Center, and she enjoyed ceramics and crocheting.

She is survived by and blessed with a large and loving family which includes her children, Dr. Dane (Rosa) Breedlove, Florence, Alabama, Jack (Walda) Breedlove, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Robert (Patricia) Breedlove, Marion, Fairy (Robert) King, Fort Wayne, Larry (Donna) Breedlove, Marion, Karen Dinius, Marion, and Ken Breedlove, Marion; sister, Cynthia Gentry, Logansport; brothers, Don Rinehart, Brandon, Mississippi, James Rinehart, Son Lakes, Arizona; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Violet Coffman, Mae Lawson, Fairy Lee, and Betty (Wayne) Folkerth, and her brother, Richard (Mary) Rinehart.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Maxine’s life will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Don Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
