Lloyd T. Driscoll, age 87, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday December 12, 2017 at 7:00 am at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He graduated from Urbana High School in 1949 and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He had been a machinist at Memcor in Huntington and Hower Tool in Ossian. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, council 1014 Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #15 in Wabash. He enjoyed woodworking and craft work.
Lloyd was born December 26, 1929, in Wabash County, the son of Clay and Mary (Caughlin) Driscoll. On July 12, 1952, he married his beloved wife of 65 years Norma Foltz at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Lagro. She survives in Huntington. Also surviving are 5 sons David C. (Tammy) Driscoll of Dothan, Alabama, John B. (Jackie) Driscoll of Warsaw, Andrew P. Driscoll of Fort Wayne, Brian D. (Linda) Driscoll of Bryan, Ohio, and Mark E. (Lisa) Driscoll of Huntington, a sister Rita Driscoll of Dayton, Ohio 10 grandchildren and 7great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen A. Driscoll, 3 brothers Cletus Driscoll, Mark Driscoll and Bob Driscoll and 2 sisters Eileen Scheiber and Leona Campbell.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, from 4-7 pm with rosary service at 6:30 pm at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel. Visitation will also be held Friday, December 15, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral Mass. Father Tony Steinacker will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, with graveside military honors provided by the VFW post 2689.
