Lillie F. Thinnes, 87, Gas City, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in her residence. She was born in Domino County, Kentucky to the late John and Rosie (Riley) Gibson. She married John G. Thinnes on December 24, 1997. He died on February 20, 2010.

Lillie owned and operated Lillie’s Beauty Shop for 30 years. She was a member of Southside Wesleyan Church. Lillie raised poodles enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, homemade cooking and spending time at the lakes. Lillie also did a lot of charity work for the elderly, was active in the VFW, the Moose Lodge, and the American Legion.

Lillie is survived by her children, Regina A. (the late, Thomas) Lamb, Gas City, Mary J. (Sam) Stephens, Plano, Texas, Kim (Chris Timmons) Howell, Marion, IN; step-daughter, Carlisha Thinnes, Gas City; siblings, Clark Gibson, George Gibson, Jerry Gibson, Thomas R. Gibson, Barbara Zeek, Josephine Fields, Mary Sue (Switch) Denny, Frances Gibson; sister-in-law, Judy (Bill) Shoup; brother-in-law, Thomas (Merlie Ann) Thinnes; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her dogs, Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lillie was preceded in death by her sisters, Pearlie Shelburne and Nancy Alice Gibson, her brothers, Forrest and Robert Gibson, Richard, James, Benny, and Carl Lee Bradshaw; husband, Paul Pulley.

A funeral service for Lillie will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Needham-Storey-

Wampner Funeral, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Montpelier, Indiana.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral

home.

The family would like to thank Family LifeCare Hospice for all the wonderful care Lillie received

throughout her illness.
