Jimmie “Big Jim” David Miller, Sr., 77, Marion, died at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Rolling Meadows Healthcare Center, LaFontaine, IN. He was born in Marion, IN, to the late Wayne and Ethel (Kessinger) Miller.
Jimmie was a hard worker and was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator. He attended Living Water Apostolic Church. One of Jimmie’s favorite pastimes was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He loved to play cards and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Loved ones Jimmie leaves behind are his children, Carol (Mike) Lawrence, Gas City, R.J. Miller, Gas City, Barbara (Tim) Milakov, HI, Eric Miller, TX, Jammie Miller, Marion, and Jimmie (Senida) Miller, Jr., Marion; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack, Betty, Lindy, and Ruby; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; his dog, Little Bit; and his former wife and companion of 44 years, Bonnie Miller.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ralph, Bernard, Charles “King”, and Don.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Grant Memorial Park Chapel, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 12 noon with burial at Grant Memorial Park.
