Guy A. Ellis, 55, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his Summitville residence.
Guy was born on May 4, 1961 in Tipton, Indiana, son of the late Alan H. Ellis and Kathryn (McCorkle) Ellis of Summitville. Guy graduated from Madison Grant High School in 1980. As a certified crane operator, he belonged to the IWOE #103 operators union. Guy lived a thrifty life style and was an avid coupon clipper. He was extremely proud of his buy one get one free coupons. Guy stayed close to home and was a longtime breeder of remarkable labs.
Along with his mother, Kathryn, Guy is also survived by his sister, Debra Ellis, Fairmount, brother, Joseph (Amy) Ellis, Jonesboro and constant canine companions, Macey, Shiloh, Ollie, Nollie, Pearl, Trace, Double Dose, Cotton and Wuzzie.
Guy was preceded in death by his Father Alan, and two brothers Steve and Brian.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where the family will received friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Service for Guy will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
