Gregory B. Adamson, 68, Pittsboro, died at 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in his home. He was born in Grant County, IN, to the late Lucian and Laura (Wingfield) Adamson. He married Dixie Salors on October 16, 1988, and she survives.

Gregory was a United States Navy veteran and served as a Seabee. He worked as a car salesman and loved to make a deal with anyone. He would also buy and sell anything. Gregory loved talking to others and could talk with anyone. He helped run Mabeline’s Restaurant and previously worked for Walmart and Sam’s Club. Gregory was a member of the American Legion, DAV, and VFW.

Those surviving Gregory include his wife, Dixie; children, Valerie (Gene) Adamson-Godbott, Paris, TN, and Lucian (Toni) Adamson, Pittsboro; step-children, Cameron (Andi) Sullivan, Pittsboro, Ginger Sullivan, Pittsboro, and Janson (Wendy) Sullivan, Wilkinson; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Gregory will also be missed by his dog, C.B.

In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and Zachery Adamson.

Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Terry Adamson officiating. Entombment will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
