Frances E. Gochenour, 95, of Peru passed away at 4:36 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Blair Ridge Health Campus. She was born in Wayne County, IL on February 1, 1921 the daughter of Earl and Rhoda Butt Pearce. Francis graduated Peru High School in 1940 and then married John Pearce, Jr. on October 5, 1942 and he preceded her in death July 1966. She then married William Gochenour, Sr. in April 1970 and he preceded her in death in April 1972. Surviving are sons Bruce Pearce and his wife Terri, Denver, IN, Brian “Red” Pearce and his wife Pam, Peru, IN and Brice Pearce of Commerce City, CO. Grandchildren Keith and his wife Jackie, Jon, David, Doug, Matthew, Staci, Chad and his wife Mobina, Tricia and her husband Brad, Justin and Katie, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great -great grandchildren. A sister Doris Beck, Peru, IN and a son-in-law Carlyle Hoppe, Clovis, NM. Frances was preceded in death by husband’s John Pearce Jr. and William Gochenour Sr., a daughter Bonnie Lee Hoppe, and a brother Bill Pearce, sisters Charolet Grimes, Betty Miller, Dorothy Butt and Ruthy Houlihan, a grandson Larry and one great grandchild. A service celebrating the life of Frances E. Gochenour will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday , January 11, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Rev. Dwight Elliott officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 2:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
