Eva Geraldine “Jerri” Plummer

Eva Geraldine “Jerri” Plummer, 84, Marion, went to be with the Lord at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion at 7:37 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born in Crocket Ridge, Tennessee, on February 12, 1933, to the late Thomas and Mary (Collins) Harvey. Jerri married Richard “Dick” Plummer in January of 1987, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1990.

One of Jerri’s first jobs was working as a secretary at Mississinewa High School. She then went on to work with the law practices of Mr. Zobrosky and then Steven Wolfe. Jerri finished her professional career at World Gospel Mission. She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving others when she was able. Jerri was also a member of Hillside Wesleyan Church for over 40 years and served as church board secretary for 25 years.

Jerri was actively involved in S.O.L.O., A.B.W.A., and the Senior Center. She especially loved spending time with her family, and playing Bingo and card games such as 313. Jerri also enjoyed watching NASCAR and especially enjoyed cheering for the Indiana drivers on race day.

She is survived by her daughter, Renae (Mike) Keller, Zephyrhills, Florida; sons, Rod Ewing, Fort Wayne, Rick (Tammy) Ewing, Marion, and Roger Ewing, Marion; grandchildren, Jake Ritter, Amber Elmore, Dustin Cramer, Tahnee (Aaron) Dransfield, Eryn (Brian) Mertens, Sarah (Robert) Horine, Natalie Ewing, Kayla Ewing, Ricky Ewing, Kristen (Chris) Black, Taylor (Jorge) Ramirez, Steven Ewing, and Kiana Ewing; 8 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Ellen (Bill) Vautaw, Vivian Weiser, Wanda (Kenny) Taylor, and Thomas Harvey.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jerri was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Paul Harvey.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Jerri’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2510 S. Home Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Gary Bingham and Chaplain Don Miller will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory.
