Estelle May Mooneyhan

Estelle May Mooneyhan, 84, Marion, passed away in her home at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. She was born in Marion to the late Hubert and Lovey (Havens) Highley.

Estelle retired from Folkie’s Tavern where she was a cook for 27 years. She was a member of the Downtown Tabernacle in Marion, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion #610.

She was very crafty and enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo in her building with her friends, as well as playing cards. Estelle also enjoyed fishing and engaging in other outdoor sports. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Paula Estelle Tom, Marion, Debra (Kelley) Ford, Marion, Bill (Melissa) Mooneyhan, Straw Plains, Tennessee, and Barbara (Teddy) Coffey, Marion; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. with Estelle’s funeral service beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Tom Ballard will be officiating.
