Emery Johnson, 91, of Peru went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 6, 2016 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru.
He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on January 2, 1925. He was married to Betty (White) Johnson. He had one sister, Irene Land. He also had one niece and nephew. Emery attended Peru High School, and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Peru.
He is survived by one son, Ron Johnson (wife Kim) of Tampa, Florida; and five grandchildren: Rachael, Robert, Kasey, Jennifer, and Sean. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Johnson, and a sister.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 331 West 6th Street, Peru, from 9:30am to 10:30am. Memorial service will follow at 10:30am, with Pastors Floyd Laabs and Tony Winter officiating.
