Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Private burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.

Aline was born on October 22, 1932 in Huntington, the daughter of Glenn and Helen F. (Barker) Schnitz. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1950 and married Jack Simon on August 24, 1950; he preceded her in death on July 27, 2000. Ellen was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntington. She loved to sew, knit, and crochet.
Survivors include 2 daughters – Linda Phillips and Pamela (Gary) Burris, both of Huntington; 2 sons – Timothy (Judy) Simon of Minster, Ohio and Daniel Simon of Indianapolis; a brother – Glenn W. “Woody” (Susan) Schnitz of Huntington; a sister – Clare Ann (Richard) Scher of Huntington; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Steve Simon, a brother, Samuel Schnitz, and 2 sisters, Mary Lou Gaines and Karen Schnitz.
